India Travel Guide

India has turned into one of the hottest destinations for travellers during the past several years. It is a country which having such and amazing diversity offers you everything you could ever want in a holiday. From the very moment that you set foot in India you will be greeted by a graceful typical gesture that shows both welcome and respect - namaste, and then you will feel that you are on the way to one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. Bounded by the majestic Himalayan mountains in the north and edged by a spectacular coastline surrounded by three seas, India is a vivid mixture of landscapes, magnificent historical places and royal cities, marvellous beaches, misty mountain retreats, colourful people, rich culture and attractive festivities. No matter which season you will choose to visit India, it will always offer you a dazzling array of destinations and experiences. In summer, when the subcontinent is sizzling, there are spectacular retreats amidst the heady beauty of the Himalayas or the lush heights of the Western Ghats with cool trekking trails, tall peaks to conqueror stretches of white water for the adventure seekers. And remember that it doesn’t matter how many times you have visit India, the only thing more difficult than to be indifferent to it would be to describe or understand India completely. There are hundreds of places you would like to visit once you are there and only one week will be less than enough to go and see them all, but there are some, which you should not left aside. For example, start with one of the oldest existing cities (it is estimated to over 5000 years old!) in the world along with Damascus and Varanasi. Currently, Delhi is the capital city of India and is also one of the fastest growing and developing cities. The city has two distinct parts, Old Delhi and New Delhi. Delhi is the second most used entry point into the country, for being on the route of most major airlines. Delhi combines in itself the spirits of the historic past and the vibrant, quickly changing present. In Deli you have the chance to visit some of the finest museums in the country. The commercial part of Delhi has many tourist attractions to offer. Do not forget to have a walk around the shopping complex of Connaught Place, visit Delhi Haat for handicraft goods and delicious food bonanza. And do pay a visit to Red Fort and Qutub Minar to view the excellence of Mughal architecture. Mumbai, or also known as Bombay is a magnificent city to explore. Mumbai is a city that is disciplined by no time frame neither day nor night. Mumbai is also the country's financial powerhouse, the nation's industrial heartland, and its economic nerve centre. In Mumbai you can see dazzling shopping arcades, enjoy lots of exciting sport activity, night clubs and discotheques, theatre and music, gourmet restaurants and interesting sightseeing. Mumbai offers its visitors a heady mix of attractions and any kind of entertainment...
